Louis married twice: his first wife was called Anna, (his second was, I
think, Adelaide of Burgundy), but I doubt whether this was Anna dau.
of Leo VI, who was only born in 893. I may be wrong, but I don't
think any of the Eastern chroniclers mention Leo giving his
daughter to such an erstwhile candidate as Louis. Its very
unlikely that she was therefore the mother of C-C. Historians
have usually assumed that C-C was illegitimate, as he did not
succeed as king, despite being adult in 928. Louis' other
legitimate son (from Adelaide) was Rudolf, but was a still
a minor in 929.

Edgiva did not marry Louis the Blind. They may have confused
Edgiva with the second wife of Charles the Simple (d.929), who
was the mother of Louis IV of France (936-54).

If I remember rightly, there were two sisters, one who married
Otto the Great, and was the mother of Ludolf, and another
who married a prince 'beyound or on the other side of the alps' (I
forget the exact terminology Widukind uses). This was not
Louis the Blind, but the first wife of Conrad the Pacific, King
of Burgundy (937-94?) : it seems she died childless not long
afterwards.
