You might be interested that one of my references (Jaime de Salazar Acha -
"Una Familia de la Alta Edad Media: Los Velas y su Realidad Historica" -
Estudios Genealogicos y Heraldicos - Asociacion Espa~nola de Estudios
Genelogicos y Herladicos, Madrid 1985) disputes the descendancy and
attributed surname of Aldonza. He claims it is highly probable that she
was the daughter of Cout Rodrigo Velaz and Urraca Alvarez.
