Keep the r and change the e to i. There is no accent mark over the A, but
there is one over the o. The d should be (eth). I.e. the correct
spelling is Ari fri (or Ari frodi using only ASCII). Icelandic or
Old-Norse names never end in an e.
His full name however was Ari orgilsson (Ari Thorgilsson). According to
Snorri, Ari was the first man to write books in Icelandic, his
predecessors had been using Latin.
