As guesses go, I like it. This is the first guess I have seen that looks
anything like Anulus. I recall an Olav among King Godfried's (d.c.810)
family, but that may be based on the identification of him with Gudrod the
Magnificent of Norway (which I don't accept). I will have to check my
scandinavian sources.
