Mr. W-A-S-P (and you certainly are!)

I really disagree with your whole message. You make many assumptions
about immigrants which are skewed. You seem to be referring to the
Elian case--which is, in most respects, a custody case influenced by our
policy of closed communication with Cuba. Why do you generalise that
immigrants are poor, unlearned, and on welfare!! How many thousands
and thousands of immigrants are hard working, honest and ambitious for
their families? It is the intolerant among us which put these people in
a more difficult position. Just as in the general population there will
be those who take advantage of our system, but I wager the percentage is
small.

Perhaps you could vent your energy by getting back this list's
purpose--finding out who our ancestors are. Remember they were the
progenitors of the first immigrants!
