There are two different families: Brus/Bruce and Braose/Briouze.
The founder of the Brus/Bruce family in England and Scotland did marry
Emma of Brittany, according to my database. The only child I have for
them is Robert, b. c. 1072. The founder was b. c. 1030. So your source
needs much more checking as it seems a bit screwy. I also think that you
will find that the family is not of Norwegian origins. Personally, I
think you need to look for a new source. :-)
