The message posted to this list concerned free services. The Submit Queries
page specifically states
"There is No Charge to Submit Queries".

On the next page, Preview Queries, it specifically states "After clicking
Submit Query, you can read
all other Queries submitted this month". There is no charge to review
queries submitted during the
current month.

Query listing space is free, and minimal information such as Individual Name
and Country of Origin
is the only required data, although submitters may include as much
information as they wish, within
reason, see Guidelines.

My other genealogy sites have received several awards and independent
reviews citing "a
comprehensive site"; when completely established the Italian Migration
Resource Center will follow
the same quality standards. All Submit Query, Query of the Week, Top Five
Queries Lists, as well as
the extensive Reference Tools: Books and Links, will be free. There is a
substantial cost involved
in providing a Searchable Database service, therefore when the completely
established site opens, a
small fee to access accumulated queries will be charged on a quarterly
basis, an annual fee will not
be required.

On the default.asp page, which is listed below and included with the posted
information, it states
"Opening in Fall/Winter 2001, this site will include Queries, Links and
Books. All Queries that
follow the posted guidelines will receive an Email announcement when the
Italian Migration Resource
Center is completely established".
