I'm taking a shot that someone will be able to help me. I am looking for
information on Amaddios. My great grandfather's name was Frank Amaddio. He
would have been born probably sometime around 1885. He was a steward on the
ships between the US and Italy. The family came from Naples, Italy. Frank
probably had family I do not know about in Italy, as he did not live in the
US. Frank also had a son in the US (Brooklyn) named Eugene Amaddio (born
1905), who later changed his name to Amadio. His mother was Grazia (Grace)
Pacelli. Eugene lived with the Pacelli family on 44 North Portland Avenue in
Brooklyn in 1920, with the exception of Grazia who no one seems to be able to
locate.

If you have any information that could help me out, it would be greatly
appreciated. I can do likewise if you are interested in my line of the
family. My grandfather's family is a big mystery to all of us! We're pretty
sure that the family name is Amaddio because Eugene's Baptismal Certificate
and the 1920 Census listed him as Amaddio. My family also remembers him
saying he dropped the "d" when he was younger.

Thanks!
Dean Amadio
