On Tuesday, October 31, 2006, the National Archives is presenting a
workshop on Union and Confederate Records at the National Archives.

The program runs from 10:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. and is presented in the
Jefferson Room at the National Archives. The cost of the workshop is
$20.00 payable by cash or check at the door.

Reservations must be made in advance by calling 202-357-5333.

The speaker for the program is Marie Melchiori, CGRS, CGL. She is
considered to be one of the top experts on civil war records at the
National Archives. She will help you to understand that there are more
records at the National Archives than the compiled military service
records.
