about the process, a group will be gathering over lunch at 11 am on Sunday
12 March at Skypark Community Room, Wadsworth, Ohio before the monthly
meeting of the Medina County Genealogical Society listed below.

Your family history is your very own detective story and needs clues and
motives in order to solve the mystery of who your ancestors were. This will
be a fun afternoon open to every interested person and sponsored by the
Medina County Genealogical Society. Fly-ins are welcome. For more

Elissa Scalise Powell, Certified Genealogist, will present how to get
started with your family history, no matter if your ancestors were recent
immigrants or on the Mayflower. For over 20 years Elissa has been tracing
her family, some of whom came to Medina County by 1812. She has been
certified over 10 years and is one of only a dozen people in Pennsylvania
who hold the Certified Genealogist credential.



You will learn what can be obtained on the Internet (only about 0.1% of the
family history information is found there!) and where else you can look to
unlock your family history including libraries and courthouses. Bring your
questions and your relatives for an enjoyable afternoon of discovering your
very own detective story.
