On Sunday, November 20th, at 2 PM, JGSNY and Gesher Galicia will have a
joint meeting at the Center for Jewish History located at 15 West 16th
Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) in Manhattan with a full range of
topics and speakers: Pamela Weisberger & Shelley Pollero will provide an
update of recent Gesher Galicia activities and the Allegro auction site.
There will be a short 1939 film. Mark Halpern, Coordinator of the AGAD
project of JRI-Poland wil give an update on the status of Galician projects
in Polish & Ukrainian archives. Suzan Wynne will discuss Jewish Life in
Galicia and Logan Joseph Kleinwaks will show how to searching Polish and
Galician Directories using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). As a Post
Script The film, I Remember Jewish Drohobycz, will be shown. Admission for
JGSNY and Gesher Galicia member is free; non-members $3

The meeting will be preceded by Galician birds-of-a-feather meetings from
noon to 2 pm in the Center's Chapel. Free of charge.

The Center Genealogy Institute will be open from 12:30 to 2:00 on November
20th for networking with other researchers and access to resource materials
and computers.
