This is just a reminder of a big Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS)
event coming up in October. This is one of the largest Genealogical
Conferences to be held in the state of Illinois in 2005 and I am sure you
will want to participate.

Remember, if your society is an ISGS Affiliate Local Society, your President
and 2 Representatives are eligible to attend this ISGS Fall Conference on 15
October 2005 in Itasca, Illinois at ISGS membership rates (even if the
President and the 2 Representatives are not ISGS members). This is one of
the benefits for being an ISGS Affiliate Local Society. You must indicate
this on the registration form.

This Conference, BUILDING FAMILY BRIDGES: LINKING THE PRESENT TO THE PAST
will be held at the Holiday Inn in Itasca, Illinois. There are 12 tracks
being presented and all are of great interest to everyone in the
genealogical and historical community.

The speakers include Tony Burroughs, Maureen Brady, Brother Joseph Martin,
Craig Pfannkuche, Jack Simpson, Helen Sclair, Jeffrey Bockman, and a
uniquely focused group in the area, the Computer-Assisted Genealogy Group of
Northern Illinois (CAGG-NI). CAGG-NI presenters will talk about highlights
and differences between Family Tree Maker and The Master Genealogist, What's
New in Technology for Genealogy, and Preparing Your Home Movies for Future
Generations.

Many vendors will be present, several local societies will display their
accomplishments and Gen Smarts will have a live demonstration of this unique
