Saturday 13 August 2005 - 9 AM to 4 PM - The British Isles Family History
Society - U. S.A. presents LINDA JONAS speaking on "Essentials for Making British
Connections" at the Veterans Memorial Complex, 4117 Overland Avenue (at
Culver Blvd), Culver City, CA.

Linda is going to be speaking on how to get your immigrant Colonial ancestor
back across the pond to Britain. What records do you look for in finding this
ancestor and what do you do with those records once you find them? She is
also going to talk about her favorite records in England to find Colonial
Origins.

Price of this seminar is $50.00 if you a member of the British Isles Family
History Society - U.S.A. or $60.00 if your not. This cost also INCLUDES a
British tea. I was with the person who ordered the food for this British tea.
For the food alone, you do not want to miss this event. Also, there will be a
syllabus. Knowing Linda Jonas, it will be of many pages. She is a prolific
writer (has written two books with Paul Milner on "A Genealogist's Guide to
Discovering Your English Ancestors" and "A Genealogist's Guide to Discovering Your
Scottish Ancestors.")

Linda was previously President of the British Isles Family History Society -
U. S. A. until a family move to McLean, VA changed that. Linda is now the
Director of the McLean, VA Family History Center.

At the Veterans Memorial Complex, there is plenty of free off-street parking
in a tree-shaded area and the complex is handicapped accessible. It is one
mile east of the San Diego Freeway (405) and one and one-half miles south of the
Santa Monica Freeway (10).

The President of another local society in Southern California stated to me by
email: "Any seminar with Linda Jonas as the speaker is too good to pass up."

Since you shouldn't pass this seminar up, we would love to receive your
registrations. Remember it is $50.00 for members of the British Isles Family
History Society - U.S.A. and $60.00 if you are a non-member. All registrations
have to be in before August 1, 2005 and we cannot accept any registrations at
the door.
