I understand that this conference is very unique in that people can sign up
for free individual help sessions with genealogical experts. Everyone has a
brickwall problem and I am sure these sessions will be useful to many.
Not every conference prints genealogical queries in the syllabus (in fact I
have only run into this once before). This opportunity will get your query
in front of all the attendees and anyone else who gets the syllabus. All of
them are interested in New England and chances are you will be related to
someone there. The trick is to find that someone!
Also unique to this conference is a lecture by the NGS Family History
Writing contest winner talking about her winning entry, a family history of
a sea captain and how an anchor ended up on a tombstone in the mid-west. Oh,
how I wish I could go to hear it!
