Registration brochures can be found at the FGS website www.fgs.org you
can register right on line, or download a registration form and mail it
in. The host societies, the Texas State Genealogical Society and the
Austin Genealogical Society are working really hard to offer the
nations' genealogists a Texas sized conference that will be one to
remember.

The conference starts with Special Interest Day on Wednesday September
8, which includes something for everyone such as tracks dealing with
society support, Association of Professional Genealogists sessions, and
sessions of basic research methodology. The rest of the week brings
more varied topics, over 160 sessions to choose from!

The exhibits/vending area will offer a wide variety of the newest and
best genealogical publications, supplies and computer products that are
available. Come and browse through the books and purchase those that
will help in your research. Demonstrations of the latest technology
will be offered, come see the coolest genealogical "stuff".

Austin is situated in the heart of central Texas, served by a major
airport, and has many research opportunities. The Austin convention
