Doing any kind of research (or other work) 'for fee' or barter, places
you in a unique category with special responsibilities and ethics. This is
self-employment, which means running your own business. What kind of experience do
you need? What kind of genealogy-related work do you want to do? How will you
get Clients? From reports to your Client to your I.R.S. return, we'll discuss
setting up your home office, what professional groups you may wish to
associate with, techniques and resources. Can you make a profit? Yes, indeed, you can!
From pulling an obituary or a census record or photographing tombstones,
to data entry or filling out lineage papers, to full genealogical research,
etc., this all-day seminar will give new ideas to those already doing it
'professionally' and will help the prospective professional to avoid some pitfalls.
Or, perhaps you want to be a speaker, a genealogy teacher, write a column, do
proofreading, publish records, etc. Due to its nature, this seminar will
include a personal e-mail follow-up after the Conference. ** let me know if you
sign up for this and have any specific questions you want answered.

2) PUBLISHING YOUR FAMILY'S GENEALOGY. Pat Gordon will show how to make
this happen, illustrating PageMaker & Photoshop. Design elements are the same
