Discover Your Roots3, the annual African American
Family History conference, will be held in Los Angeles
Saturday, 28 February, 2004.

Jointly sponsored by the California African American
Genealogical Society (CAAGS), the African American
Heritage Society of Long Beach (CA), and the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the conference will
feature more than 15 separate presentations on sources,
research techniques, writing, organizing and preserving
your records. A special beginner's class is also scheduled.

Featured keynote speaker will be Beverly White, award-
winning news reporter for KNBC-TV.

The all-day sessions are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
Free, secured parking is available.

The conference will be held at 3115 South Vermont,
Los Angeles. Registration before 21 February is
$10 and includes a box lunch and syllabus. Registration
after that date is $15. Registration should be mailed
