Subject: [GEN-EVENTS-L] Next weekend's big FH event in the UK
Date: Sun, 18 Jan 2004 16:53:01 EST

Hi listers

On next Sunday 25 January 2004, the annual Bracknell Family History Fair
takes place, this being a traditional January event on the family history calendar
here in the UK.

As usual, the main attraction at the event will be the appearance of the
Oxfordshire Family History Society. By popular demand next Sunday, the society's
stand will be manned by Hugh Kearsey, Jean Kearsey and Wendy Archer. They will
be armed with the society's full portfolio of resources to enable Oxfordshire
researchers to knock down those brick walls. A digger or JCB couldn't do a
better job in demolishing stubborn brick walls than :-

1. the society's "Search Services" database suite :
http://www.ofhs.org.uk/searches.html

2. the society's range of microfiche and CDs :
http://www.ofhs.org.uk/mfiche.html and http://www.ofhs.org.uk/CDsales.html

3. the society's bookstall : http://www.ofhs.org.uk/books.html

This is a splendid opportunity for all Oxfordshire researchers based in the
south of England to buy in person, and thereby avoid those niggling little
postal and credit card surcharges that might otherwise be incurred.

The Bracknell Family History Fair will be held on next Sunday 25 October 2004
at Bracknell Sport and Leisure Centre, Bagshot Road (A322), Bracknell,
Berkshire RG12 9SE. The doors open at GMT 10.00am, and further details of the event
and its location can be obtained from :-

Anyone with questions about the Oxfordshire FHS stall at the event can
contact me off-list.

Best wishes and happy hunting !
