Alberta Genealogical Society presents
Gen-Fair 2003.
FAMILY TREE RESEARCH ... discover your family roots.

To be held Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Crystal Park School (9351-116 Avenue, Grande Prairie)
Doors open for the general public at 10:30 am, and close at 4:00 pm.
Admission is only $5.00/person.

Many genealogical displays are to be seen. Books, maps, family tree charts and many other items of interest to the family historian will be for sale.

1-hour workshops are available for beginning genealogy - ideal if you want to join in on the # 1 hobby.
Learn basic research methods and basic recording techniques.

1-hour hands on workshops available about the Internet and genealogy will be offered. Beneficial to everyone from the beginner to the seasoned genealogist

Also available are 1-hour sessions covering the following topics:

* Homestead Records and how to find them

* Simple Latin found in genealogical records

* The use of maps in genealogy

* French - Canadian Genealogy

* Early Peace Country Settlement

* First Nations records - where to look

* Hudson's Bay Records

* Early Ukrainian Settlement

* Archives for your treasured "stuff"

* Finding hidden and forgotten gravesites
