A family history seminar featuring Ken Aitken will be held Saturday,
November 9 in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
Aitken will present four topics:
-- A Genealogist's Guide to Romancing the Librarian -- How to prepare to
visit libraries, archives, and record offices.
-- The Genealogical Research Process: Back to Basics -- Aimed at everyone
from beginners to veteran genealogists, this session deals with ways to do
research in a more organized fashion.
-- Living with Granny: Family and Household Composition for Genealogists --
An attempt to help genealogists look into the world of the historical
demographer.
-- Family reconstitution: a useful procedure for problem solving --
Sometimes, to sort out which likely candidate is your ancestor, you'll have
to re-assemble all of the extended family networks in the community.
The event will be held in the Victoria Truth Centre, 1201 Fort Street. More
