Wednesday, August 7, 2002
FGS conference Special event
Ontario, California
http://www.apgen.org/conferences/index.html

Have you ever thought of turning your hobby into a second career? Do
other researchers ask you to help them with their research problems?
Put your experience to use - become a professional genealogist.
Wednesday, August 7th is the day to learn how to go about this and
begin making money as a professional genealogist. The lectures
will cover many topics such as what to charge, how to get your article
published, how to manage the client project, how to get paid, and how
to organize your business.

APG's 5th annual Professional Management Conference will feature
top-notch lecturers on topics of interest to professional genealogists.
The presentations will be on a relatively advanced level, and aimed at
practicing professional genealogists, but all are welcome to attend.
Undoubtedly, even "new" professionals will find the sessions valuable.
Visit with colleagues at Wednesday's breakfast and lunch (both
included). Participants will receive a special additional syllabus
covering all the APG lecture topics.

Registration for the FGS conference is required in addition to the APG
registration fee. Register by July 26th for the early bird discount.
Join APG and receive an additional PMC discount. APG members who
register by July 26th will save $70 as members of APG. For additional
information about APG membership and the PMC see www.apgen.org. Join us
at FGS for the Ontario, California PMC!
