I'm pleased to report that Archive CD Books have kindly donated a copy of
this book on CD to this society :-

A History of Witney
by J A Giles

This book was published in 1852, and is lavishly illustrated.

This CD will be freely available for users of the society's reference
library at the Holford Centre from Tuesday 11 June onwards. The Holford
Centre is now open *every* Tuesday (except Bank Holidays such as next
Tuesday), on the third Saturday of every month and on one "ad hoc" Sunday
per month. For full details of dates and times, location of the Holford
Centre and the like, please see our website.

Anyone living locally who wishes to purchase a copy of the CD should note
that all of the Oxfordshire CD productions of Archive CD Books are on sale
from reception at the Oxfordshire Record Office.
