Speaker: Barbara Dossett

Program: "The Importance of Keeping a Timeline"

Barbara Dossett has been involved in serious genealogical research for over 17 years. She is a 6th generation Texan, a member of The First Families of Texas, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Treasurer of the Dallas Genealogical Society. Ms. Dossett has been a frequent speaker at genealogical society meetings and workshops throughout North Texas. Her major field of speaking expertise is in the methodology of census records research. Barbara is a graduate of East Texas State University and owns her own tax business.

Following a short refreshment period, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Computer Interest Group of the East Texas Genealogical Society will meet. Larry Oliver will present a program on "Suggestions for Security".

East Texas Genealogical Society represents six counties which are Anderson, Gregg, Henderson, Panola, Rusk and Smith counties. ETGS publishes the East Texas Family Records four times a year and a monthly newsletter The Bulletin.
