Italian Genealogy Research Tips by Marcia Yannizze Melnyk
Reservations are required for our guest speaker on Saturday June 23 10
am - "Italian Genealogy Research Tips" by Marcia Yannizze Melnyk,
President of the Italian Genealogical Society of America. Marcia is
the author of the "Genealogist's Handbook for New England Research,
Fourth Edition", "The Weekend Genealogist: Time saving techniques for
effective research" , "The Ancestors and Descendants of Annabelle
Whitehead and Anthony Pedro" and "The Genealogist's Question and
Answer Book " (due out early 2002). She is the creator and instructor
for the New England Historic Genealogical Society's popular "Genealogy
101" and has lectured extensively on a variety of subjects for many
local and national conferences and societies. Mrs. Melnyk is also a
member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild, the Association for
Gravestone Studies and the Association of Professional Genealogists.

Oral History Workshop by Sharon Sergeant
Reservations are required for the Sunday June 24 2PM Oral History
workshop - collecting family history through interviews and the oral
history of several generations.

You will be able to search the Italians to America Passenger and
Immigration Lists 1880-1893 Archives plus have on-line DSL access to
the Ellis Island database. Learn more about the Italian Genealogical
Society of America and the Italian Folk art Federation.

We carry Italian research guides as well as regional and city MAPS OF
ITALY and a number of 19th century and early 20th century articles
about Italy and Italian American immigrants. You may investigate
research trips in Italy or order records and photographs from your
family's region.

Mark your calendar for the Italian Family History Weekend June 23 - 24,
10am - 4pm. Admission is $5.00 for each day.
