Can someone on this GEN-EDITOR list answer the query? You might post to
this list, with copy to Gay.

I have a problem/question and hope someone in this LIST will advise if
it's solvable (is that a word??).

A 10-page Genealogy document was prepared and printed by me several
months ago; unfortunately my word process (Wordperfect 6.0a) copy was
deleted leaving me with a "hard" copy only. Now I find several of those
pages are in need of editing.

My problem/question is can this document be scanned whereby editing is
possible??

My scanner unit is included in Canon's Multipass C5500 -- in attempting
to scan/edit I've only been successful in scanning images which, to my
knowledge, cannot be edited other than shifting positions, etc. I need to
add paragraphs, change sentence structure, correct grammar,
..........
It's possible my unit is not geared for scanning/editing but I don't care
to spend $39.95 or whatever with Canon to learn simply that it cannot be
done. Hopefully one of you will be much smarter than I along these lines.
