As editor for two genealogy society newsletters, I'm constantly looking for materials that are interesting and legal to use in an educational newsletter. Much of what I see in
local newsletters seems to be "borrowed" from other newsletters, often without regard to source and with no credits listed as to authors/originator.
I am attempting to set up a website specifically for editors of genealogy and family history newsletters. On it will be posted articles, fillers and clip art that is free to use --
as well as links to genealogy columns, websites of interest to editors, and information as to what is required in the way of permissions, credits, etc.
I've "seeded the pot" with articles I've written or have permission to post. I hope that other editors will add to the collection, so that we all will need to scramble a little
less frantically come deadline time.
I'd appreciate your comments, suggestions -- and materials.
