Good Morning All,

Just responded to the "Warning" message about sensitive
information and living relatives which brought me around to my
challenge for today.

I'm finding I need a place to keep the sensitive stories along with
there sources within my database. I've been using Family Tree
Maker for years but it only provides one place for notes (that I can
find) which I print out with my Generation Report making it
unsuitable to use for research notes and sensitive stories. Does
anyone else have this problem and what have you done about it?

I'm actually thinking of getting the new program "Legacy". I saw a
demo a couple of days ago and was very impressed. Also went to
Genealogy Software Springboard (users evaluate geo programs)
http://www.toltbbs.com/~kbasile/software.html
and found a lot of other people prefer this program.
It has a secondary note system that would let you stash your notes
without printing them in the reports while still using your notes which
you can print with the Reports. Legacy also has the slickest web
creation feature that I've ever run across and it's done offline unlike
FTM's online web creation feature. I'm sure even I could create a
web page with this program. Along with their own mail list and
apparent good support staff I think this will be on my Christmas List.

No I'm not getting a commission on the database just saw lots of
good features.

Does anyone else have any comments on software?

Send comments to the list.

Sure a real job would be nice,
But it would interfere with my genealogy!
