It's a tough problem. I agree with you, having your name on it as editor
means you are responsible for the content. I don't know what I would do
about this situation. Perhaps, because it is already so late, I would send
it out as-is, but in the next issue put in an apology for the lack of page
numbers, etc.

I would not in the future trust this -- or any -- person with an electronic
file. I'd only give them a hard copy. That's about the only way you can
control the content for sure. I would talk to the woman about the "new"
information that was added...maybe ask why, and where it came from.

I also do our society's quarterly. Some of your other issues, I have dealt
with...poor printing quality and late mailing. Sometimes that has been the
fault of the post office - when you mail bulk you have little control. The
most I can do is apologize for the lateness, and let it be known that I met
my deadlines. After that, it's out of my control.
