Hello GEN-EDITOR subscribers,

We have recently had a bit of off topic messages and a little spamming on
the GEN-EDITOR list that has prompted this message. This is a general
posting to remind all that this list is a place for editors/publishers of
genealogical, surname and family newsletters to discuss and share ideas and
tips. Any other family/surname queries or information would probably be
better attended on lists more appropriate for those subjects.

I am sorry for the recent unwanted postings that have gotten through to our
list. Please do not respond or flame the authors. The addresses are
probably false and the efforts most likely would be in vain. Rootsweb does
a wonderful job of intercepting most spam from our lists but occasionally
something does get through. Please bear with us as we work on the matter.

Thank you in advance for your patience and your dedication to our list. Our
traffic has been a little slow right now but I'm sure as soon as cool
weather begins to prevent us from enjoying ourselves out in the fresh air,
our traffic will pick back up.
