Regardinng Kendria's query re the LOSEY surname, the latest IGI should be
searched North America wide (at least) or perhaps worldwide, including the
addendum.. Next, 1850 and 1860 census indexes, widely available, should be
searched and all Losey families pinpointed throughout the USA in that year.
For Canada, our CGI index should be searched (Canada-wide) which will pick
up Loseys, and other possibilities in Canada are the 1871 census of
Ontario, and the OCFA5 cemetary index for Ontario, and BCCFA for British
Columbia; finally, a check of Broderbund's and Ancestry's records for all
Losey family trees that have been completed to date should be made.
By using phone disks to search for PRESENT-DAY Loseys in the USA and
Canada, a memo\letter can be sent using bulk mail rates to all Loseys on
the continent, inviting them to (1) subscribe and (2) send in what they
know of their own family trees.
One last thing, of course, is to check the Social Security Death-Benefits
on CD-ROM, as that will pick uip not just death dates and places for listed
Loseys, but also their birthdates.
Good luck on the Loseys!
