>QRYTEXT: Mike, Daniel Whatley was my 3gr gramdfather. John 2gr.
grandfather. My information came from family and obits. Mary Edwards comes
down through family, but I have never seen anything in print. Women were
second class citizens back then. A lot of the family in Taylor County
entered into the suit suing for Ambrose Edward's estate in New York on the
strength of this information.

>William from family and tombstone at New Hope. Thomas from family, Census
and church minutes. Frances from obit from Macon Telgraph, Daniel, Jr.
Church minutes, and family. Willis identified from Bone Bible. (married
Sally Decker Bone) Daniel Sr. was living with Mary and her husband Sanders
Durham in Talbot County when he died. Frances from obit in Macon Telegraph,
m. to James Calhoun.

>I saw The information that you got from Family Ancestry, but the group of
family researchers stand by Daniel being the son of Michael,Sr. Have you
seen Mrs. Eberhardt's book on the Whatley Family? She also agrees with the
Taylor County Family. A revised birth date on Daniel is 25 December 1757. It
sounds more logical than 1744. Thomas was listed in the 1870 Census in Wayne
County, Miss. Guelda.
