Living in Forsyth in 1850 and before, b. SC about 1803: WILEY STONE
He m. Candace BUCKNER, when or where unk. In 1850 their children are
WESLEY, JAMES, FRANCIS ASBURY and WILLIAM PITCHFORD STONE.
Only known daughter, Ellender (Eleanor) Stone WILSON, (MRS BEN) living
next door in 1850.
That same year lists several other STONE households with men of an age to
be brothers or cousins for Wiley, that are also from SC but I haven't been able
to tie them in.
Also nearby is JAMES STONE, of an age and origin to be (possibly) Wiley's father.
For 1860 their part of the county was part of Milton Co.
Candace Buckner was a daughter of Eleanor Buckner, a lottery winner. Her father
and Eleanor's husband, is still unk. Candace's sis, Charlotte (Lotty) Buckner m.
John Rogers.
The Stones fought for the south, then moved on to AL and not long after that, to
AR.
WILEY AND CANDACE d. after 1880, probably Boone Co, AR.
Wesley probably d. Blount Co, AL after 1866.
James d. in Boone Co, AR, after 1880, widow Harriett was in Independence Co, AR
for 1900 cen.
Francis A. and Margaret (Christopher) Stone d after 1910, TX or OK
William P, after GA, AL, AR, IT and OK, d. in OR in 1938. From Stone Mtn to Mt Hood,
a farmer, soldier and family man. (way to go, ggf !)
ron in CA
Information, ideas or suggestions for further research, all most welcome. HNY.
