In the name of God Amen,
I William Feagans Sr. of the County of Morgan and State of Georgia being
mindful of my mortality & considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life, being
of sound mind and memory, blessed by Almighty God for the same, do make ordain &
publish this my Last Will and testament. First I recommend my Soul to almighty
God that gave it, not doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive
the same again. 2nd I desire to be decently buried.
Thirdly And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to
bless me with in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following
manner & with the following exceptions.
First I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Caty Feagans after paying all my
Just debts & Burial expenses all my estate both real and personal, viz four
negroes Littico Sely Matildy & Betsey with all my household & Kitchen furniture
horses hogs & cattle and two pieces of Land drawn by myself one the Twenty
Second Lee, The other one the Thirty Third of Lee County, during her natural
Life and at her death, to be equally divided between my children viz Molly
Hambrick, Nancy Ridley, Silas Feagans, Betsey Dodson, William Feagans Jr., Caty
Suddifield, Peggy Hughes, & Frankey Bassett. Secondly, It is my desire at the
death of my wife that all my property be sold by my Executor and divided between
my said children within the following manner with the following exceptions viz,
My desire is that that portion of my estate that may fall to Molly Hambrick in
the general division to be hers & her heirs forever.
Secondly, That part of my estate that shall fall to my daughter Nancy Ridley in
the general division to her three children viz, Joab, Anderson, & Alexander
Ridley To be paid to them respectfully at their respective ages of Twenty One
years or days of marriage, which shall first happen, the same to be put out to
Intrust at the discretion of my Executor, until their said respective ages or
marriages.
Thirdly, I give & bequeath to my son Silas Feagans his equal part of said
Estate, to his own proper use.
Fourthly, I give & bequeath to my daughter Betsey Dodson her equal part of said
Estate to her own proper use.
Fifthly, I give & bequeath to my son William Feagans Jr. his equal part of said
Estate to his own proper use.
Sixthly That part of my estate that shall fall to my daughter Caty Suddifield in
the general division I give the same to the heirs of her body to be paid to them
respectively at their respective ages of Twenty One years or days of marriage,
which shall first happen, the same to be put out to Intrust, at the discretion
of my Executor, until their said respective ages or marriages.
Seventhly That part or portion of my estate that shall fall to my daughter Peggy
Hughes in the general division, I desire that same to go to the heirs of her
body to be paid to them respectively at their respective ages of Twenty One
years of age or days of marriage which shall first happen. The same to be put
out to Intrust at the discretion of my Executor until their said respective ages
or marriages.
Eighthly, I desire that part or portion of my Estate that shall fall to my
daughter Frankey Bassett in the general division I give and desire the same to
the heirs of her Body, to be paid to them respectively at their Respective ages
of Twenty One years or days of marriage, which shall first happen. The same to
be put out to Intrust at the discretion of my Executor, until their respective
ages or marriages.
Ninthly & Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Wife Caty Feagans
Executrix & John C. Reese Executor of this my Last Will and testament. In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 12th of January 1829.

Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his Last
Will and testament in our presence, who, at his request, in his presence and in
the presence of each other, have Subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

Georgia Morgan County Superior Court setting for ordinary ponfer(?) at
adjournment term 13th January 1832 Personally appeared in Open Court John C.
Reese and John J. Barnett subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument in
writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of William Feagans Sr. do
who being duly sworn & with they claim the Testator signs seal and deliver the
same as his Last Will and testament and believe he was sound in mind and memory
at that time and that they tested the same as witnesses in his presence and saw
John Allison do so in Kind. Sworn and Subscribed in Open Court day & date above
written.

Additional Comments:
Caty Feagans (William Sr.'s wife) appears on Morgan County, GA tax digest
through 1839. Descendants of William (the Silas Feagans line) settled in
Pendleton District SC 1810-1844 and Forsyth Co. GA 1844-1870.
