Written: July 12 1884

7/12/1884 Sarah F. Ragan as principal and Lucy? Edmondson and A. J. Pirkle as
securities all of the said county and state acknowlege ourselves held and
bound unto F. M. Hawkins ordinary of said county and his successors in office
in the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars subject to the following
conditions. Whereas, same Sarah F. Ragan hath been appointed administrix of
the estate of Jesse H. Ragan deceased late of said county and letters of
administration having issued to her. Now should the said Sarah F. Ragan make
a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the lands and tenaments,
goods, chattels, rights and credits of the said dceased which have or shall
come to the hands possession or knowledge of the said Sarah F. Ragan or into
the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her, and the same
so made to exhibit to the Clerk of Ordinary when she shall be thereunto
required and such lands and tenaments goods, chattels, rights and credits
which shall be found remaining upon account of the said administration (the
same being first allowed by the said Court of Ordinary) shall deliver and pay
to such persons respectively as are entitled to the same by Law. And if it
shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the
deceased and the same be found according to Law and the Executor obtain a
certificate of the probate thereof and the said Sarah F. Ragan do in such case
if required render and deliver up the said Letters of Administration then this
obligation to be void otherwise in force. This 12th day of July 1884 signed
Sarah F. Ragan, Lucy Edmonson and A.J. Pirkle.
