Donna,
Thanks for calling the roll call. I haven't done much research on my lines
in a bit, and your note may jump-start me!
In looking through all the lines I have running through Forsyth County, I'm
mostly curious about where any old minutes or other church records for
Ebenezer Methodist Church might be. At one point in the 1950s, a lady
researching the BLACK family indicated the records were held by a pair of
sisters. In looking online at Emory University's Methodist collection, I'm
not seeing anything specific to that church, but plan to contact the
archivist to see if they do have anything.
For interested parties, I descend from Joseph M. Black (d 1873, buried
Ebenezer) through his son, James M. Black (d 1884, buried Ebenezer), and
then through James' daughter, Darlisca, who married John M.L. McClure in
1859, died in 1917, buried New Hope Methodist Church cemetery.
Hoping you are well and happy,
Judy Campbell
