Mrs. J.J. Brown, of Hastings, Fla., was the guest of Misses Fannie and
Susan Harrison first of the week.
Mr. M.B. Rice, who has been visiting his son in South Georgia during the
winter, has returned home.
Misses Genie Mitchell, Lucile Bennett and Gladys Smith, of Gainesville,
spent Sunday with Misses Fannie and Susan Harrison.

Mr. Toy Merritt, an old Forsyth county boy, but now of Doraville, has our
thanks for two year's subscription, sent us this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Heard and children and Mrs. Ben Hurt and children, of
Flowery Branch, were guests, Sunday, of Mr. G.L. Heard and family.
Judge H.L. Patterson, Assistant Sol. Gen. C.L. Harris, Col. J.P. Fowler and
Mr. R.E. Harrison attended court at Marietta first of the week.
We are requested to announce that Rev. J.M. Anderson will preach at
Friendship church the fourth Sunday in this month, at 11 o'clock. Everybody
invited to come out and hear him.
Mr. Jack Smith has been selected as Farm Demonstrator for Forsyth county.
Mr. Smith is said to be a mighty good farmer, and we believe he will give
satisfaction.

Mrs. Harriet Perry, familiarly known as "Granny" Perry, and widow of the
late Lewis Perry, formerly of this county, died in Helena, Ga., one day
this week. She was 85 years old, and was the mother of Mr. W.W. Reid of
Cumming and Mr. Evans Perry, of route 3.

Notice
I want the teachers to send me by April 1st, the names of their pupils who
have enrolled their names as members of the different clubs.
Those teachers who have not sent their contract with the Board of
Education, please do so at once.
