Joe,
At Reel 412 image 545 there is a marriage license.
It has James M Short of Galt
marrying
Mrs. Augusta R. Sawyer of Galt
He age 71 she age 45
on Oct. 10, 1894
witnesses: P Plainup (hard to decipher)
and A Montagne
both of Galt
offciating: J M Roberts Min. of the Gospel (no particulars... as to MMLorJ )
no denomination indicated that I could find.
There is a county of Sacramento web site and link to the County Clerk-Recorder
That is the office from which to order a copy if you like.
