Donna or others able to help. My gg Grandfather was William Greenberry Self.
Born and raised in the Forsyth-Milton area. HE was born in 1848 and died in
the 1940's. Lived on the boundary between the two counties all his life and
so both show him as a resident. I have been trying to find where the
"Greenberry" name is from. I have seen it several times used by other
families yet there are no "Greenberry" families listed on any census. Some
families named members after historical figures, i.e., Washington, Lee, Grant
ect. Who was named "Greenberry" in that area, a war hero, politician? I
cannot find any significance for "Greenberry" yet several families in the
area used that name. ANY IDEAS????

Thanks, Ron Self
