Eureka!! I don't think I can help you on the Pattersons...but I see they
married into the family of John S. Garrett and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy"
Bennett. I'm a Bennett descendent. I have lots on the Bennetts and the
Normans (Betsy's grandmother was a Norman), although not all of it is
sourced. I had the name of Isaac Van Garrett, b. 1840, but nothing about
his marriage or descendents. And I didn't have any of the kids born after
the 1850 census, so I didn't know about Seaborn Green Garrett.

Happy to exchange info. I descend from Bennett, Norman, Shockley, Padgett,
Jones, Crow, Holland families of Hall and Forsyth Co., GA. My ancestors
were part of the 'Holland & Co.' expedition that went by train from
northern Georgia to Rusk Co., TX in 1901.
