Wanted to let everyone know I had found out (I think) what happened to the William H. Lamb I asked about awhile back. The link was on the Forsyth County web page all the while, I just hadn't gotten that far.

For Lamb researchers:
Lamb, William H.- private March 10, 1862. Wounded in head, left thigh and right hip, and
captured at Baker's Creek, Miss. May 16, 1863. Exchanged in 1863. Roll dated April 30, 1864, last
on file, shows him "Absent, sent to hospital January 28, 1864." No later record.

Does anyone know if he succumbed to the injuries? Where would be exchanged to?? Appreciate any input from seasoned researchers!

Also, Donna, I really got a lot of information/education/enjoyment from your angelfire pages. Please! Keep adding more!

Good luck and happy hunting,
Brenda

P.S. I'm finishing up Settendown 1920 Census for the web site. After 1920 is finished I plan to start on 1900.
