Some of the GAGEN web sites link to county history and much of it is the
organization of churches, the primary social institution on the Georgia
frontier. The Forsyth county site within the GAGENWEB may have some
information. Since the GAGENWEB includes most counties in Georgia look in
them, too. Books I've found useful is Don Shadburns Pioneer History of
Forsyth County and Blood Kin. You may be able to secure these through
interlibrary loan with the Forsyth County, GA. library.
