I'm looking for descendants of Rufus E. Guthrey/Guthrie and Lucy
Vaughn. They were originally from Walton Co., but moved to Forsyth
county after the 1880 census. Some of their children were married in
Forsyth Co. The "History of Forsyth Co., Georgia, 1832-1932 has a short
biographical sketch on Rufus on pp. 654-655, but no dates of death.

Rufus E Guthrey, son of Nehemiah Guthrey and Nancy B Turner, was born in
Walton Co. on 14 Sep 1841. Married Lucy E Vaughn in Walton Co. on 6
December 1860. Lucy was born about 1841, daughter of Frederick Vaughn
and Emily Cook.

Children:

1. Mary V Guthrie, born about 1861; age 18 in 1880.
2. Nancy Hassie Guthrie, born about 1863; married James E Vaughn in
Forsyth Co. on 18 June 1891.
3. John William Guthrie, born 15 March 1866; married 1) Hannah J Major
in Forsyth Co. on 31 March 1889. Lived in Gwinnett Co.
4. Sarah C Guthrie, born about 1867; married John H Adams in Forsyth
Co. on 15 March 1885.
5. Frederick N Guthrie, born about 1869; living in 1880.
6. Beverly A Guthrie (male), born about 1872; living in 1880.
7. Glenn S Guthrie, born about 1876; married Lizzie Satterfield in
Forsyth Co. on 13 Feb 1911.
8. Millie E Guthrie, born about 1879; married Isaac E Strickland in
Forsyth Co. on 29 Oct 1899.
9. Velvie Guthrie.
10. Rufus S Guthrie.

Can anyone find these in Forsyth Co. cemetery inscriptions? The web
link seems to be broken.
