STONE:
Wiley Stone and wife, Candas (Buckner) Stone. He from SC, she AL,
are raising their family of boys, Wesley, James, Francis and William
per the 1850 census.
There are several other Stone families with the head from SC. Same
place, same time. it is suggestive that they are migrated brothers,
staying close enough for family contacts. Has anyone establish a
father for any of them back in good ol' SC?
By 1860 a county redesignation creates (was it) Milton and they are
still there. All five (father and sons) serve in Ala units for the C/W.
Wiley , James, Francis and Wm are found in AR by 1870 , still farming
close to each other. i haven't found Wesley for 1870.
... ideas of how to confirm .. or information from someone who has
are solicited.
