Impossible Macaroni, Cheese, and Sausage Pie

2 1/4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese -- divided
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 cup Bisquick® baking mix
2 1/2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt -- or to taste
4 eggs
1 cup cooked smoked sausage -- cut into bit-size pieces
Sliced ripe olives and chopped fresh parsley -- optional

Heat oven to 400°. Grease 8" by 8" square baking dish. Mix 2 cups cheese

and the macaroni; spread in plate. In a bowl, stir baking mix, milk, red

pepper sauce, salt, eggs, and sausage until blended. Pour over cheese
mixture. Bake uncovered about 40 minutes or until knife inserted in
center comes out clean. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 1 to 2
minutes or until cheese is melted. Cool 10 minutes. Garnish with sliced
ripe olives and parsley, if desired.
