Do Spirits Have Emotional Feelings?
by Tina Carlson
While the debate continues around the planet as to whether spirits exist in
our world, another question comes to mind. Can a spirit have emotional
feelings without a physical body? Investigators, parapsychologists,
scientists and novice and experienced ghost hunters are trying to prove or
disprove everyday that there are spirits that walk among us. They use all
sorts of high-tech electronics, cameras, video, recorders, thermometers,
psychics and mediums. All this scientific research and field work is
absolutely neccessary for the hopefully near future declaration that spirits
are real and are among us. But while we try to get that one piece of proof
needed to stop the speculation and to prove to some people in this world that
this is real and that some people have had this gift to sense the spirits all
along. Are we inadvertantly disturbing spirits emotional feelings , making
them mad or sad
or even more confused. Are we making them feel noticed, special, cared for,
needed and in some cases loved?
It stands to reason that when asking ourselves if spirits have feelings the
answer would be a resounding YES. After all look at the proof that lies
before us. How many times have we heard of a spirit that was quiet until
renovation or remodeling of a place it loved in life? How many times has a
person been kept from danger by an unknown force that seems to care about our
physical bodies. How many people have felt a loving caress or a gentle
touch to the cheek? So are we making them mad or are we making them feel
good? I think both cases may be true. I think that just like in our world,
spirits are just like us with all the emotional baggage that goes with life
or the afterlife. I believe there are spirits that are stuck here that want
to be left alone and there are ones that crave our attention. When we bother
the ones that want solitude are we making them hostile? If we ignore the ones
that want
attention are we making them more active? If a loved one that is caught here
hears of a family tragedy are they sad, do they shed tears like we do but in
a supernatural sense? Can a spirit fall in love with spirit? I think given
the stories we receive and the emails that the answers to all these questions
are yes!
So many times you have heard the stories of a sad spirit lingering, staying
around until someone cries or prays for them, after that act has been
completely the spirit vanishes never to be heard from again. And what of the
family being visited by a past family member, when told they are no longer
needed, they also vanish never to be seen again. What of the mureder victims
that have come back to point the finger at their unknown killer? Or the
spirits that have come back to save family or friends that are in danger.
All of these acts takes emotion on the part of the spirit. So in closing I
say have respect for the spirit world, don't summon them, and don't
manipulate them and always try to be considerate of their feelings. Treat
them as you yourself would like to be treated if you were
in a strange place and didn't know where to turn. Do all of these things
because you never know who you may be dealing with and as with us, you never
know what their reaction may be. As always this is just my opinion.
