As you can see from Aarno Raittila's response, those records are mainly admisnistrative documents with no significance to individual genealogy, with the exception of "muuttokirjat", certificates of moving. If "muuttokirjat" are preserved at all all, they are included in the archives of the parish to which the person(s) moved. It is far easier, though to use "Muuttaneet" or moving records which are yearly lists of incoming and outgoing persons with references to the place where they settled.
To complement Aarno Raittila's mail I'll repeat my response to Sharon Sterle on the same subject on January 3 about interpreting terms included in the Finnish church records, as they apperar in the LDS Family History Library: Go the the LDS site www.familysearch.org , click SEARCH -> Research Helps -> Sorted by Document Type -> Word List -> Finnish Genealogical Word List. You'll find translations for the Finnish names of the various church records used in the LDS catalogs and a few hundred other genealogical terms. When using the films themselves the corresponding Swedish Word List is useful. There are also links to dictionaries and vocabularies and detailed info on church records in Finland in the FAQ and Parishes of Finland sections of The Genealogical Society of Finland's site www.genealogia.fi. It also has a wealth of other useful information and the Finngen mailing list in English for people seeking their Finnish roots.
