Hi List,
I had some correspondence with a nice fellow that was working on a fringe of
my line. I sent him the gedcom I had been working on for his information
only. It included the living in the lines I sent him.
He uploaded it to his tree on the World tree which is fine as they clean the
living, but it shows all my sources as his. Even sources like "Interview
with xxx on date such and such" and "Personal Knowledge" or "Document in my
possession". I guess I can live with that although he should remove all my
sources.
But he has uploaded all my gedcom to his website and it includes MANY living
people. With identity theft that is a very bad idea.
I requested on 5/8 that he remove my sources and especially remove all living
from his website. I even sent him a cleaned version to use with the living
deleted.
As yet he has not replied, nor made any changes. Any suggestions how I should
proceed? My family is going to be very upset if they find their vitals
published on the Internet, and they will blame me as they know I do
genealogy.
Thanks for any help.
