Well, over here - nothing. Even if I did receive a calalogue in the mail
(which generally does not happen), placing an order would require filling in
credit card information.
If anyone was dumb enough to ship goods to one address without proper
verification
that the address belongs to the person supposedly ordering the items, that
should
be entirely the seller's problem.
If such things can happen in the US, it is yet another example of the
fundamental flaws I have been talking about.

Frisk, I'm sure your country is a good one and has many advantages for its
citizens. But the United States is a good country, too. Please do not feel that
you can only make your country look good by showing how it is better than the
United States. The US certainly has its problems just as all countries do.
But it must also have something worthwhile; otherwise we would not have people
risking their lives to come here. So your country can be good on its own; it
doesn't have to be "better than the US" in order to have merit. So why not
just quit comparing and let's deal with solutions to problems, whether here or
elsewhere.
Regarding the above, in the US we also have protections. If you tell the
company that you did not make a charge, they will investigate, and you will not
have to pay for something someone else charged to your card.
