???? How old is "this child" at the time of adoption? Say the child is
10 yrs old and the birth father is paying support, another man can not
adopt the child without the birth father's permission. another man can
only adopt a child if the birth father is dead, or a court says so for
some reason, hes in jail, a drunk, etc ----Anne (I knew a woman, who
married a guy, he wanted to adopt her child, they went to the birth
father, who gave his permission for a case of beer).
