Well, I use a custom-written Oracle database ;-) I do have a few "genderless"
individuals, but they are all children in the 18th century or earlier, where
nothing is known about them other than the fact that a child was born to a
particular couple.
Actually my solution was simply to list the "gender at birth", and leavi it at
that - this was actually easy to justify for me, due to some peculiarities of
the Icelandic language.
